Signage & Installation at Darwin International Airport: Often at Barneys Print we get involved with some interesting projects as we are constantly on the look out to expand our services. Recently we have been involved in the upgrading of Darwin International Airport assisting with decorating the many glass partitions and walls around the newly renovated terminals. Phase one has now been completed with more Darwin airport sign installation upgrades to come.

The job required printing and installing of floor to ceiling window glazing graphics and wall graphics surrounding the departure lounges and ticketing areas with a theme based on the concept of “Sense Of Place”.

Garry Barnett (Managing Director) explains “This project presented many challenges but due to our signage and installation history we were able to do the print and installation without a hitch.

With signage, a big part of our job is making absolutely sure the right materials are used and communication between all parties involved is clear and concise as any mistake or misinterpretation can be costly.

Examples of managing the installation can be as detailed as ensuring the correct ladders were used, airport staff knew where the installers would be at what time to manage passengers and even to the point of knowing what tools could be used in secure areas.
Print management for us at Barney’s can cover a wide range of services and we can easily step up and meet any challenge head-on because of past experiences and dealing with our fantastic group of suppliers.”
